Als Senior Researcher bij Tired of Cancer zorgt ze voor wetenschappelijk bewijs en data om de effectiviteit van de app bij de behandeling van kanker gerelateerde vermoeidheidssymptomen te garanderen. Johanna brengt wetenschap naar de praktijk. Zo is ze momenteel bezig met het behalen van haar PhD in psycho-oncologie aan het Nederlands Kanker Instituut in samenwerking met het Universitair Medisch Centrum Groningen.
